Herman Seymour was born in Vancouver British Columbia. He is a Coast Salish carver. Herman is Chemainus First Nation on his fathers side and Musquem on his mothers side. He has carved for more then 20 years. Simon Charlie was a world wide master carver of Coast Salish who influenced Herman in 1960. Herman was 9 years old when he carved a little eagle and sold it for 25 cents. A few years passed then he spent 15 years with a Nootka Carver named Norman John who is also a master carver. This is a great piece to add to your collection.
